Furniture made by hand in Copenhagen. Joints you can see, in pieces built to outlast the people who buy them.

The 252 stool in oak, seen straight on

252

Stool

A stool built on what I see in the Itsukushima torii: steadfast and poised, and held together by joinery you can see. Made in oak, smoked oak and painted beech.

Chair

In development

A partner to 252 and a continuation of it: the same family of tapered legs and visible joinery, explored further in a chair.

NOUB is the furniture practice of Benyamin Noufel, a designer and maker based in Copenhagen.

I have worked at the bench since 2019, self-taught, alongside a professional bachelor's in product development and a working life spent on how wood behaves over time. The pieces come out of both: drawn in CAD, then made by hand, with the joinery left in view because it is what holds the thing together.

Each design starts from a single reference and goes through prototypes until nothing in it is doing less than its share. Pieces are made to order.
